Thanks for doing this interview. In my opinion you asked her some tough questions and they were very appropriate. Estee's answers were enlightening.

It's not often you hear someone from an autism organization talking about the dreaded "e" word,

"ethics."

I want to clarify something I said, as I must have not been listening to Michael's question completely (we had a very bad phone connection -- it was the question about different approaches for different people. I do not agree that all children learn in the same way -- autistic or non autistic. I believe we have learned that there are many different "intelligences" and styles of learning for the entire population. Autistic individuals do learn differently and do learn "naturally" from their environment, even if atypically. If we were to look at a classroom of kids, we would certainly find strengths and weakness in the way they learn and receive information.
